A Major League Love

For the Love of the Game...

The sound of the crowd, the smell of the grass, the feel of the bat. For Luca Milano, baseball is more than a game, it's poetry. A star college ball player, upon graduation he is drafted by a major league team and assigned to a minor league team in Durham, North Carolina. There, on the field, misfortune in the form of a badly-thrown ball sends his life on a path he'd never expected. A path to pain, heartache, and love.

Sammi Jo Jackson loves baseball more than anything else in the world, much to her mother's constant frustration. Constantly compared to her perfect and feminine older sister, Sammi Jo just wants to live her life without sacrificing who she truly is. But a surprising friendship with a minor league ball player, and his unexpected love of poetry, introduces her to a world beyond any she's ever known. The only trouble is, he's dating her perfect sister.

A Major League Love is a story that bridges the gap between baseball and poetry, between friendship and love, bringing the heart and soul of America's favorite game into a beautifully poignant metaphor for life, regret, love, and loss.

Einstein’s Desk

As a young boy, Ian Petrie was diagnosed with autism and given little hope for a typical future. Then, unexpectedly, his parents found the answer to their prayers in world-renowned functional neurologist Dr. Robert Mills, who unlocked the massive potential of Ian's Einstein-caliber intellect. From that day forward, Ian became consumed with the life and works of Albert Einstein and dedicated his life to following in his footsteps. After creating a revolutionary computer application at a mere seventeen years old, Ian uses it to uncover a long-lost secret hidden in a photograph of Einstein’s desk taken on the day he died.

What he discovers is even more incredible and world shattering than he could have possibly imagined. Uncovering a secret collaboration between two of the greatest scientific minds in history on a breakthrough so dangerous that they fought to hide it from the world until a greater mind was born who could use it safely, Ian suddenly finds himself in the middle of a sinister conspiracy to acquire the hidden knowledge that could destroy, or save, all of humanity.

From that point onward, the action and danger never end, young Ian’s desperate mission taking him around the world and even across the barriers of time. With only his uniquely gifted mind and a few unexpected friends to help him, Ian finds himself caught up in a suspenseful adventure, racing against government intelligence agencies and a hidden faction of Nazis to solve the most important and enduring mysteries of physics, brain science, consciousness theory, and the most mysterious and powerful force of all... love.

Sword Above All (Swords of Valor, Book 3)

The world as they know it is gone. All of their efforts to save it had given the demon Watcher Azazel the very key he needed to bring the world to its knees. The power of the Swords of Valor is exhausted. The quantum computer, key to their operations, was malfunctioning. The Gray Champion had been struck down by Azazel, and the quantum essence of their grandmother had been cruelly abducted. Power to the Keeping Room had failed, plunging them into a darkness that flooded not only the eyes, but the soul, while the world above them burned. Despair, hopelessness, and uncertainty were all that remained in the hearts of the once-courageous Guardians.

In the depths of their bitterest defeat, a Teacher comes to them, offering guidance shrouded in mystery. The robed, enigmatic figure may be their only hope to save their grandmother, and the world, but none of them are certain this Teacher can be trusted. Deception is the most powerful tool in the arsenal of their enemy, and this, too, could be nothing more than a demonic game to lead them to further despair. Journeying one last time through history, they must seek their ancestor and originator of their line of the Guardians of the Swords of Valor, Joseph of Arimathea. Only through him can they find the holy relics needed to defeat Azazel once and for all; the Stone of Jacob, the Holy Grail, and the mythical Sword Above All.

Under the eyes of the archangels themselves, face to face against the Watcher Azazel, the Guardians must wage the final battle against evil. Victory is their only option, for there will be no second chance in this ultimate confrontation. The salvation of all mankind rests in their hands.

Sword of the Gray Champion (Swords of Valor, Book 2)

After weakening Azazel’s power by destroying the Swords of Terror, the Guardians of the Swords of Valor are looking forward to life returning to normal. That is, until their dead grandfather returns to tell them the world needs them again. The Apostles of Azazel have become the Leviathan Alliance. No longer do they need swords to dominate the world. Their plan is much more sinister, and has been millennia in the making.

Under the guidance of the quantum computer and their grandfather, the Meglio, and with the help of the Swords of Valor, they once more travel back in time, this time to consult with key figures in political history; Marcus Tullius Cicero, Benjamin Franklin, Samuel Adams, and George Orwell.

The cousins will have to be more clever, strong, and courageous than they have ever been before. They face the challenge of fighting an idea, a mere concept, battling an insidious infestation of apathy and complacency that threatens to overwhelm their world. They now face the ultimate challenge:

How can they save a world whose people have willingly given up their freedom?

Season of the Swords (Swords of Valor, Book 1)

As six cousins mourn the death of their grandfather, their uncle, known as the Prophet, summons them to a meeting. In a remote family retreat, he reveals the secret history of their family and the prominent position their grandfather held as Meglio di Buono of the International Guardians of the Swords of Valor. The Prophet sends them back through time to pivotal points in history to obtain the four missing Swords of Valor, believed to have been stolen by the Apostles of Azazel.

The consequences of failure mean far more than their own deaths. All of humanity could be destroyed. Any hope of succeeding lies in the power of the swords, their courage, and each other. Encountering some of the most influential figures of history, from Joan of Arc to Christ himself, the cousins must confront the reality behind everything they thought they knew, before the Apostles of Azazel can plunge the world forever into darkness.

A historic tale of valor, virtue, family honor, faith, and the power of a humble spirit in a world dominated by pride and the love of power, Season of the Swords is the beginning of an epic that spans the vast expanse of time, raising the inevitable question:

What if you had the power to change history?
